Brent Csutoras

Brent Csutoras is a social media expert and consultant, who writes regularly on his site and Search Engine Land's Social Media Column. He is also the owner of Weird Asia News, an offbeat news site.

Brent has been invited to speak at many of the largest search marketing conferences such as Search Marketing Expo (SMX), Search Engine Strategies (SES), PubCon, and Infopresse. He has been mentioned in Forbes and was interviewed by Entrepreneur.

Biography

Brent was born in 1977 and has since moved around the world living in Germany, United Kingdom, Japan, China, and numerous locations through out the United States, such as Texas, Virginia, Illinois, Delaware, and now California.

Involved heavily in skateboarding and event promotion at the early age of 16, Brent went on to work as a dental lab technition, a weather observer for USAF, a journalist for XLR8R, URB, and Movement Magazine, and after meeting his wife Annie in 2006, was hired as a Search Engine Optimization specialist for AssistGuide.

After experiencing the effects of social media marketing, Brent decided to dedicate more of his time to this fast growing and extremely effective marketing method. He quickly became a dominent force amongst the top social communities and has been asked by powerhouse sites like Reddit and Digg to help with feature testing and consulting on other site aspects.

He continues to work closely with some of the top social communities and works as an independent social media marketing consultant.
