Brendan Óg Duffy (2001 - 16 July 2021) was an Irish Gaelic footballer who played for club side Monaghan Harps and at inter-county underage levels with Monaghan. He usually lined out at centre-back. Career A member of the Monaghan Harps club, Duffy first appeared on the inter-county scene as captain of the Monaghan minor team that won the 2018 Ulster Minor Championship. He was immediately drafted onto the Monaghan under-20 side, where he lined out for three successive seasons, culminating as team captain in 2021. Death Duffy was killed in a car crash near Clontibret, County Monaghan on 16 July 2021. His death was remembered and marked at matches across Ireland.
