Brandon Collier

Brandon Collier (born October 8, 1980) is an African-American writer/screenwriter. He is best known for his novel, Body Traffic, which received numerous accolades in the literature world.
Biography
Brandon Collier was born in Washington, D.C., USA, but had a childhood full of relocating, finally residing in Iowa in 1990. He attended high school in Clinton, Iowa and then went on to the University of Iowa, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in Business. It was there that Brandon often visited the Writer's workshop, taking a few classes here and there, and gained a passion for writing.
Starting out with published poetry, "My Diseased Appetite", he then went on to write novels, such as Chocolate City, a story of inner city youth in the 1980's. Moving to Long Beach, CA after graduation, Brandon began to work on screenplays, as well as novels. His first published novel, Body Traffic, was well received for the gritty outlook of human trafficking, told with a fast paced storyline and action backdrop. His next novel, The Night Sparkles, is a story of police brutality and racism in the South. Brandon is a featured author at many African-American writing sites for his story the "The Wright Way", seen at .
In 2008, Brandon's screenplay "Calypso", is in pre-production, and the development of The Night Sparkles is in the works.

Brandon currently resides in southern California.
