Brandise Danesewich (born June 10, 1977) is a Canadian fashion model, actress and photographer. Early life Brandise Danesewich was born in Saskatoon, Sakatchewan Canada. She graduated from Walter Murray Collegiate top of her class. She received numerous academic scholarships and a placement as the only female in the Royal Military Colleges Aerospace Engineering Program. McGill University in Montreal also offered Brandise a full four year academic scholarship. Brandise attended the University of Alabama in Huntsville, Alabama on a NASA-sponsored international exchange program as the female student representing Canada, studying space sciences and engineering. Modeling career Brandise was discovered in her hometown of Saskatoon at the age of eleven by Lissa Lloyd and Tom Gusway. She was thirteen when she started her international career as a fashion model moving to Japan. She spent the majority of her adolescence abroad in Asia and Europe. Brandise has worked with the industries leading fashion photographers David Lachapelle in his famous piece "Death by Hamburger", Italian Vogue, the Face), Terry Richardson (Stussy), Jeremy Goldberg, Moshe Brakha, Hugh Kretshner, Phil Poytner (Prada) and Erwin Olaf (Lavazza) and Ellen Von UnWerth. She has appeared in a number of music videos for artists Marilyn Manson - "Personal Jesus", Elton John - "This Train Don't Stop There Anymore" and "Original Sin" dir. David Lachapelle, No Doubt - "Hella Good" dir. Mark Romanek, A Perfect Circle - "Three Libras", Samiam, Maxwell, Eve and Gwen Stefani. She has done fashion shows for Georgio Armani, Prada, Chanel, Burberry, Sue Wong, DKNY, Richard Tyler, David Cardona, Marilyn Davis, Louis Verdard, Zac Posen, etc. Acting Brandise has appeared on The Bold and the Beautiful, the Tyra Banks Show, Ugly Betty, Entourage, Grind and Rush Hour 3. She has also done many television commercials for clients such as Motorola - "Hello Moto!", Coca-Cola, Tropicana, Gatorade, H&M, Infinity, Physique, Macy's, Heineken, and Bud Lite. Photography Brandise was awarded a student photographer of the year award by Canon Cameras for a photo she submitted of the red elephant from the Tsavo slums, while working on a fashion shoot on location in Tsavo National Park in Kenya. She found herself on a holiday in Cambodia with her camera covering the countries second ever democratic elections, her documentation of the elections being published internationally. She also worked on a project in South Korea during the record breaking 55 billion dollar IMF bailout. Her photos of the Sri Lanka ravaged by the tsunami during Tamil uprisings in Sri Lanka she spent time doing humanitarian work with the children, surfing, and photographing the undead hope of the Sri Lankan people. She has spent many years on tour photographing and documenting the band Social Distortion and more recently Hot Water Music in America and abroad. She has also photographed Joe Strummer, Iggy Pop and Nick Cave in Japan. She recently photographed album artwork for Hot Water Musics Chris Wollard and the Ship Thieves debut solo album. She currently is the president and co founder of the cinematography ward of Harmony Wedding Photography.
