Boubafield

Boubafield is an upcoming spoof movie, believed to be based on the film Cloverfield. The release date suggested by the trailer is the 8th of August 2008. The film will be Adam Smith's directorial debut, and will feautre many unknown actors.

History

On the 29th of Febrauary a teaser trailer was released containing what seemed to be a parody of the film Cloverfield. After a series of shots including a rubbish grabber and a metal pole leaning against a wall, the words "Diao" and "Papa" are heard with panicky camera movements. Then the word "Bouba" is shouted and the lights are turned out, it then fades to black and the date "8/8/08" is revealed and the believe title "Boubafield" is shown. The trailer seems to take place in a wharehouse or stockroom. No specific plot details have been released. As of yet, only a teaser trailer, an extended trailer and a Myspace page has any conection to the movie. The footage seems to follow the same style of Cloverfield with handheld camera footage. Adam Smith revealed in a blog that the style will be similar to Cloverfield, but instead of using handheld cameras, the footage will come from the characters mobile phones. He also revealed that unknown actors Tom Arnold, Dean Wright, Lee Finneron and Adam Smith will take the central roles. He stated that filming was well on the way and more footage will be released via his myspace page as soon as possible.

Plot Details
In a recent blog on his Myspace page, Adam Smith revealed plots details, "The Plot revolves around mysterious goings on in a local wharehouse and the surrounding areas. The footage was found on 4 mobile phones, all showing different accounts of the attacks and mystery. The characters include Tom Arnold (as himself), Dean Wright (as himself), Paul Thomas (played by Me) and Rachel Webb (played by Lee Finneron). As the "monsters" attack, the group split up, and some end up in a local woods, while others seek the comfor on their houses, but they are far from safe..".
