Characters in the books
Cox's six books focus on Felicity Rivers, the sister of Darrell Rivers, and her friends.
Felicity Rivers - Felicity is the younger sister of Darrel and she was sorted in the same house as Darrel - North Tower. Felicity is three years younger than Darrell. Her best friend is Susan Blake. She is very good in lessons and also has and performs very well n sports - lacrosse, swimming and tennis.
Felicity has always been described as kind-hearted, compassionate, confident and level-headed girl. She is often recognized as one of the leaders in her form. She was at first shy and not so confident, until Miss Potts, the head of North Tower, made her the head girl of third form.
When she fished her last year at Malory Towers, she went to university with June, Susan and Freddie , to be trained as doctor.
Susan Blake - Susan is the best friend of Felicity. She is in the same house as Felicity - North Tower. Felicity and Susan are of the same age. She is very good in lessons and performs as well as Felicity in sports.
Susan has always been described as patient, confident, kind and level-headed girl. She is also very sensible and has a unique way of controlling Felicity when she flies into one of her rages.
June Johns- June is said to have medium length black hair. She first appears on the book Upper Fourth at Malory Towers
June is said to be bold brazen and cheeky and disrespects her elders. She also performs tricks on her teachers and is very gifted with an excellent memory and sports.
June is the cousin of Alicia and as Darrell became the friend of Alicia, Felicity also becomes her friend in their first form.
Winifred Holmes- Commonly known as Freddie joins Malory Towers in the Third form of Felicity, She appears first through June.
She is described to be jolly and good with jokes. She is the best friend of June and is good in studies. June and Freddie plans together all the jokes and tricks in the form of Felicity.

Main plot
New Term At Malory Towers
After Darrell has finished her years at Malory Towers, Felicity returns as the head of the third form. She has a lot to handle as Freddie and June are playing tricks to no end. There is also Bonnie, who worships Felicity too much, causing her to fall in trouble and get teased by her friends. There is that snobbish Amy who always boasts about her wealthy family and has a strange family secret.
Summer Term At Malory Towers
Felicity goes back to Malory Towers as a head girl of third form. This is the place where Esme Walters, cousin of Lucy Carstairs. She used to live in America. But then came the thievery at Five Oaks, owned by the two old girls of Malory Towers,Wilhelmina (Bill) and Clarissa for keeping horses from Malory Towers and opening a riding school. The third form are up for an adventure as they find out the real thief.
Winter Term At Malory Towers
Susan has been put in the charge of the Christmas entertainment of the Fourth Form which results them to do a pantomime. But Miss Tallant has some other ideas. She has been a new teacher at Malory Towers replaced with Miss Hibert, the English Teacher of The form of Felicity, for a short while. She happens to be very interfering, cold-hearted and an absolutely determined teacher, so that she can replace Miss Hibert for once and for all. The Fourth Form also has a small midnight feast in which she spies on them. The Fourth formers are not very happy about it.
Fun And Games At Malory Towers
In this book, a music mad girl, Millicent Moon decides to take part in the Orchestra for the sake of the fame of Malory Towers. But June decides to hold the tennis tournament at the same time. The two new girls, Delia Norris and Gillian Weaver struggles due to this as Gillian is excellent in both music and tennis and has to take part in both the competitions, which leads Delia to receive a letter from Gillian's mother requesting to take care of her daughter. But both June and Millicent are determined which lands them into a battle with each other. And there is also thievery. Will the thief face the music and confess?
Secrets At Malory Towers
In the sixth year of Malory Towers, Felicity returns as the head girl of the school and the sixth form. At the same time, Daffy Hope, sister of Sally Hope who is the best friend of Darrell Rivers and Felicity's sister. Daffy plays a very Naughty prank. But there are more! Alice Johnson, who seems to be a new girl at Malory Towers, seems quite known to Felicity and some of her friends as they discover her latest secret.
Goodbye Malory Towers
Felicity and some of her friends in the sixth form are taking Higher Certificates. When they finish their exams, Miss Grayling has a surprise in store for thee sixth form. Gwendoline Lacey, who was once a student of Malory Towers with Darrell in her form, returns to Malory Towers as a teacher. But her time won't be so lucky as she thought as an old enemy holds a grudge at her and awaits for her.
