Book Money, Bookie, Young Bookie or just boss. He may go by many names, but he is the brains behind Guaranteed Entertainment. Founder and CEO born; Keysen Jackman, was raised on the southside of
Minneapolis, MN.
Guaranteed Entertainment
In 2004 Bookie founded Guaranteed Entertainment or G.E. as known on the streets. Bookie’s vision was to have more than just a rap label, he wanted the whole spectrum of entertainment whether it was Rap, R&B,
Comedy, Acting, Producing, Managing or any other dimension you could think of - he wanted that to be incorporated into Guaranteed Entertainment. With music Bookie has that covered as well as comedy,
producing, acting and Managing.
Career
He has been rapping since the age 14 years old. He first started out rapping over instrumentals, then became a very seasoned rapper. He later went on to form the rap group “Addicted 2 Drama”,
with members Sleepy, Casino and himself. Together the group would release 3 albums, later Bookie would become a solo artist.
His versatility knows very little boundaries. Music and songwriting are his ways of therapy that help him deal with his day to day struggles. As a solo artist he has come out with 4
solo albums: “Under Da Influence,” “More Gunz Than Roses,” “Power of Persuasion ” and " Mixed Emotions. He also has 5 mix tapes: “Sleep When I’m Dead,” “T.C. Next Up,” “Power of Persuasion Mix Tape,” “I Am
What I Rap” and " Cut The Check " Later he became known as “Book Money” for his ability to stack money like books.
Book Money has won several competitions/awards throughout the midwest region. He has won battle of the bands in Sioux Falls, SD, he won T.C. Next Up Award at the first annual Twin Cities Hip Hop Awards,
the following year he was up for “Mayor of Minneapolis,” “Best Mixtape,” and “Best Label.” Book Money’s song “Sippin On Da Goose was aired on the Twin Cities premiere Hip Hop station B96. He was also invited
on Peter Parker’s radio show for an interview after winning a contest in which Book Money brought the largest crowd. As he was interviewed by Peter Parker another one of his hits was played which was titled
“Back In The Day”.
Book Money is now broadening his musical expertise to include, Rock, Jazz, & straight club music which is getting rave reviews from show promoters and fans. Not only does he do music he also
has his own internet radio show titled “The Mic Check” where he showcases other independent artists as well as entertainment news, and comedy sketches.
Book Money has opened for many successful artists including: Trina, Mystical, Fabulous, Alckoholics, Slum Village, Glasses Malone, DJ Drama, D12, MIMS, LIL SCRAPPY, J KWON, PROJECT PAT, D12, SHAWNNA and
many more. Book Money has also performed at venues nationwide such as: DRAGON FLY in Hollywood CA, The MAYAN CLUB in Las Vegas, Nuttys North in Sioux Falls SD, Copa Cabana in Long Beach, Sokol
Underground in Omaha, and various Twin Cities hotspots such as world famous First Avenue, Epic, The Rock, Fine Line Music café and the list goes on and on.
Book lives by one motto: “Make the Impossible, Possible” and with the rest of G.E. behind him, that’s exactly what they plan to do. Get ready for the future!
