Boogerman is a fictional character, a superhero and main protagonist of the video game Boogerman: A Pick and Flick Adventure (1995). The character has also appeared in Clayfighter 63 1/3 (1997) as Earthworm Jim’s rival.
Description
Boogerman is the alias of eccentric millionaire Snotty Ragsdale. Having taken a job as a janitor at the laboratory of Professor Stinkbaum, Ragsdale seeks to investigate the Professor's latest invention: The Zapomatic Common W.A.S.T.E. Basket, a machine designed to rid the world of pollution by transexisting environmental waste to Dimension X Crement. On a dark and stormy night while cleaning, Ragsdale sneezes on the machine's main component, a green crystal encased within an electrified glass cylinder. The whole contraption breaks down, as a mysterious gloved hand appears from inside the W.A.S.T.E. Basket and grabs the crystal. Ragsdale runs into the men's bathroom, where he instantly transforms into Boogerman. Striking a pose, our hero cries: "Booger!" and leaps into the W.A.S.T.E. Basket, spinning as he descends to the sound of a flushing toilet.
Appearance
Boogerman wears a green suit with brown gloves and shoes. He is bald, has an oversized mouth with a crooked smile, and his eyes are covered with a black cowl mask. Boogerman's red cape acts as a health indicator, where red is normal status, yellow is injured status, and flashing red-brown is above normal status. If Boogerman is attacked by an enemy while his cape is yellow, he melts slowly down the screen and the player loses a life.
Abilities
Boogerman's abilities are grotesque and scatological in nature. He can burp, fart, spit mucus and flick boogers offensively at his enemies.
Clayfighter
Boogerman also appears Nintendo 64 title, Clayfighter 63 1/3, and Clayfighter: Sculptor’s Cut. In both games, he acts an unlockable secret character. Actor Dan Castellaneta provides the voice of Boogerman, which sounds very similar to that of Barney Gumble from The Simpsons.
