Bonnie Swanson

Bonnie Swanson is a fictional character from the animated television series Family Guy. She is voiced by Jennifer Tilly. She is the devoted wife of Joe Swanson, mother of Kevin Swanson, and is known for being continuously and perpetually pregnant.

Family & Personality
Her grassroots upbringing plays a large part in her character development on the show. Bonnie is rather timid and always does as Joe says (she once said "I can't say no to Joe...ever"). She gets aroused when Joe lies and likes a man who puts himself in danger. Peter claims that Joe has not touched Bonnie in a long while, however. Bonnie was, according to the show, born in Bedford, Iowa.

It isn't until the episode "Believe It or Not, Joe's Walking on Air" that Bonnie begins to evolve past these details. After Joe regains his ability to walk after a leg transplant, one of the first things he does is have sex with Bonnie, which greatly satisfies them both. However, Joe develops an overcompetitive nature that causes him to act coldly and leave her for his athletic pursuits. Bonnie finally stands up to Joe by attempting to shoot him in the spine to paralyze him once again, hoping he will revert back to his old self, though Joe is the one who shoots himself after Bonnie accidentally misses her mark one time too many, and the two subsequentially get back together.

Bonnie's Pregnancy
She has been pregnant since her debut on the show in season 1. Peter has even commented on this fact in the season 4 episode "Blind Ambition", stating that she has "been pregnant for like six years" (which is not surprising, as none of the other characters have shown any physical signs of aging). Peter also remarked, "either you have the baby, or you don't." While being eternally with-child, she still took Tae Jitsu lessons, which inspired Lois to join the class. When a movie based on Joe's life was made, she was played by Valerie Bertinelli.

The only sign of the progress of Bonnie's pregnancy is in "Lethal Weapons" when she said that the baby was kicking and Peter put his face against Bonnie's belly. The baby then forcefully kicked Peter in the face causing him to scream "You're freakin' dead, kid!"

In Believe It Or Not, Joe's Walking On Air, Bonnie is seen having a glass of wine with the girls before going to the Men's Club, even though shes still very much pregnant.

According to a preview of upcoming episodes for Season 6, one episode is expected to feature Bonnie finally giving birth.

Other facts
* In the film Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story, as a possible event that will occur 30 years in the future, Joe will receive her legs after she dies. At one point in the movie, Stewie calls her "Prego" as an insult.
* In the Season 2 episode "Love Thy Trophy" Lois calls her "Debbie" either by mistake or on purpose because she gets on her nerves. Incidentally, the original broadcast description of the episode "A Hero Sits Next Door" stated that her name was Debbie.
* Her hair was brown on her first appearance, which was likely an error on the animators' part; her hair is black in every episode thereafter.
