Boil Ease

Boil-Ease is a pain relieving ointment. It is designed to relieve the pain of boils quickly. Its main ingredient is benzocaine.
It was a product of Del Pharmaceuticals, best known for Orajel, an oral analgesic. In 2008, Church & Dwight Co., Inc. bought Del Pharmaceuticals from Coty, Inc., a fragrance company. Coty had acquired Del Pharmaceuticals in 2007 as part of the purchase of Del Laboratories. In June 2009, Church & Dwight divested the Boil-Ease business.
W. Steven Pray, a professor at Southwestern Oklahoma State University's College of Pharmacy, recommended in a 2006 book that a patient with a boil should consult a doctor rather than buying this product.
