Robert "Bobby" McKee, MBE is a Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) politician in Larne, Northern Ireland. He has been a member of the Larne Borough Council since 1989. In the 1970s McKee was a commander in the Ulster Volunteer Force (UVF) until he was injured in a car bomb explosion in November 1974, losing both legs. He has worked extensively for disabled charitites and was on the Queen's New Years Honours list in 2003 for this work. He is a former mayor of Larne and his brother Jack McKee until recently was also a DUP councillor. |
