Bob F. Brown (born October 29, 1943) is the mayor of Lufkin, Texas. Background Early life/Career Brown was born on October 29, 1943 in Brady, Texas, he graduated from Brady High school. He got his BBA from Texas Tech University. He then got a job at Oncor in Waxahachie, Texas. He was promoted to Waco, Brownwood, Tyler, and eventually to Lufkin as assistant manager. He retired in 2006 with 40 years of service. Personal life Brown and his wife Tony have been married for over 40 years. They have two daughters Tana, and Denna (deceased in 1993), and 2 grandchildren Grayson and Griffin. Brown has attended Lufkin First Christian Church for over 29 years, he teaches Sunday School for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. Political career Brown is a board member for the following committees. *Hospice in the Pines *Stubblefield Learning Center *Salvation Army *The Coalition *Angelina County Chamber of Commerce *City of Lufkin 4-B Economic Development Board *Chairman of United Way of Angelina County Mayoral Election In 2012 Bob Brown beat incumbent Jack Gordon Jr; he had been in office for 6 years.
