Robert "Bob" Belcher is a fictional character and the protagonist of the animated comedy series Bob's Burgers and the patriarch of the Belcher family. He is voiced by actor H. Jon Benjamin and first appeared on television, along with the rest of the family in the episode "Human Flesh" on January 9, 2011. He apparently has a bad memory as stated in "Human Flesh" aired on January 9, 2011. He struggles with his daughter, Tina's, Autistic disablitiy and Gene's annoying endeavors and antics and also has to settle rumors made by his other daughter, Lousie's, wide spread rumors about him. He owns a rundown burger joint and is constantly attacked by the media. Personality In , he calls his kids terrible workers: "You all are terrible! I'd fire all of you if I could!" He himself is terrible at remembering dates, as shown in several flashbacks in Human Flesh. However, he objects to Linda's method of remember their anniversary date, 9/3, because many numbers are divisible by 3. He strongly dislikes his mother-in-law, primarily her voice. In Crawl Space, he hides in a wall for 3 days to avoid her. In Sacred Cow, Bob gets very attached to a cow named Moo-Lissa; when the documentary filmmaker who is protesting Bob's restaurant with his piece "" leaves her tied up outside the restaurant, Bob brings her into their home during a nighttime rainstorm.
