Board of Environmental Auditor Certifications

The Board of Environmental, Health & Safety Auditor Certifications (BEAC) is an American professional certification board that issues the Certified Professional Environmental Auditor (CPEA) designation to qualified environmental, health and safety auditors, and issues standards related to the practice of environmental, health and safety auditing. The term environmental audit has different meanings in practice. BEAC seeks standardization in practice and terminology as a way to improve quality.
BEAC certification specialties include Environmental Compliance; Health & Safety; Management System; and Responsible Care. Certification is granted to qualified auditors after they have provided documentation to show that they have met specified qualification criteria in education, experience, training, and personal attributes. Applicants must also pass a written examination.
