Bluessential is a Northeast England-based Blues band. Formed in 2003 and playing a wide range of rock, up-tempo R & B and blues classics, the band was founded by lead guitarist “Curly, sweaty, blind, one-legged” Lambert Johnson. The current line-up includes brilliant lead vocalist, ex Saints or Sinners, "Screaming" James Benton who also plays mean saxophone and harmonica. An exciting and hard-working band, reviews include: "High Energy ... To Lift Your Spirits" - The Guardian and "Outrageous ability ... seriously hot players" - Darlington Today.
