Bloomfield Park

Bloomfield Park will be a lifestyle center with retail, condos and office space set to serve as a new downtown for the area around the well known Detroit suburb of Bloomfield Hills. Located in Bloomfield Township, Michigan, on Telegraph Road north of Bloomfield Plaza. The 80 acre $1 billion project will include luxury office space, a hotel, residential apartments, a movie theater, and various shopping areas.
Developed by Diversified Developers Realty and Harbor Cos., the project will also include The Bloomfield Park Club, a world-class athletic facility will include more than twenty athletic operations along with complete spa and sports medicine facilities. The Bloomfield Park Club will also sponsor, on a non-profit basis, community and charity events.
Status
Currently, the project is halted due to the lack of investment that plagues the Detroit Area. . Though the initial ground breaking took place in 2006, and had previously been in the works for 16 years, the project, which is about halfway complete has since then dealt with a series of roadblocks due to the backing out of investors. The project is the 6th largest development currently underway in Oakland County.
