Blog Quizzes Reffer to a specific genre of quizzes which are conducted by the enthusiast quizzers on blogs that are hosted either on Wordpress or on Blogspot or any other provider. The difference between them and the websites is the fact that usually blog quizzes are less organised than the websites.
Origin
The specific origin of the blog quizzing cannot be traced and can be as old as the blogging itself. The schools and colleges have their official quiz blogs. Apart from the schools and colleges, individual enthusiasts also maintain blogs.
Evolution
With the advent of Micro-blogging the quizzing took a new dimension. Many ehusiasts now receive the quiz questions via twitter. Several blogs have also incorporated RSS feeds that have enabled faster and effective delivery of quiz data.
In India
The blogging has only taken a great boost in India after 2005. Several quiz blogs have appeared in the due course. Several quizzers have started their own quiz blogs. . Many colleges have also started their own quiz blogs. The notable among them are the quiz blogs of IITs and NITs. Several quiz blogs are maintained such as the Grey Cells by Civil Servants.
The traditional Quiz Clubs such as K-Circle, Karnataka Quiz Association have also started their own blogs in the due course.
With the advent of professional quizzing companies getting into blogging the scenario is evolving.
