A Blessor is another version of a godparent. He/She is a non-relative chosen by parents to play a special part in the upbringing of their son or daughter. A Blessor blesses the child - not with material things, necessarily, but through committed prayer, counsel and sharing of his/her strengths and skills. A Blessor takes an active interest in the child's life. A Blessor is present (physically or in spirit) in moments of crisis as well as times of celebration.
A Blessor shares a special bond with the child in his/her own unique way.
