Billie J. Dominick-Cooper

Billie J. Dominick-Cooper (born May 14, 1967) was a well-known, Arizona performance poet from 1995 through 1998. Her first public reading was during an open mike night held at the Barnes & Noble Bookstore in Glendale, Arizona. There she met Dale Robert Anderson who became her friend and mentor until his death in April of 1997.
Mrs. Cooper was invited to various venues to appear as a featured reader. Some of these include the Willow House, Encanto Park, MARS Artspace, and Borders. In 1996, she was the first poet ever invited to perform at both the Arizona State Spring Poetry Conference and the Arizona State Fall Poetry Conference.
Several of her poems were featured in an anthology produced by the Glendale, Arizona Barnes & Noble in 1995 and 1996.
Two years after the birth of her third child, Mrs. Cooper moved with her family to California. Her writing became infrequent and she has not been known to perform at any poetry venues since 1998.
