Bilingual Sylheti Speakers

Bilingual Sylheti Speakers consists of 2 million speakers, native or fluent in two languages. Many bilingual speakers grow up speaking two languages native ethnic tribal languages and Sylheti language.
Chiru-Sylheti
Chiru (Naga) or Kuki-Chin-Naga speakers of Assam speak Hmar, Sylheti Bengali, Manipuri or Hindi at the time of interaction with non-Chiru speakers.
Mog-Sylheti
There are also lesser known Mog-Sylheti bilingual population. The native language of Mog is also a tonal language like Sylheti.
Monipuri-Sylheti
Monipuri-Sylheti speakers living in Sylhet division are bilingual or multilingual. Some speakers speaks 'Sylhetti', while Bengali literare speakers also speaks Bengali.
