Bibliophagy

Bibliophagy is a mental and behavioral disorder which causes a person to compulsively and voraciously eat books . The word comes from the term bibliophage which means "a person who loves books". It is thought to become less common after elementary school.
Symptoms
The symptoms of bibliophagy include the following:
*Emotions of relief and a general lessening of anxiety after eating books.
*Compulsive eating of books.
Treatment
The treatment of bibliophagy includes behavior therapy and medication.
Edible Books Festival
The Edible Books Festival is held annually near April 1st. Foods made in the shape of books, such as cakes, are served there. Currently it is held in the following countries: Australia, Brazil, Canada, England, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, Morocco, The Netherlands, New Zealand, The United States of America, and Russia .
