Description of the Award: In the Memory of Late Bharati Deb.
The Bharti Devi Endowment Award which has been constituted in 2016 by Bharti Devi and her family, to encourage young people who have achieved academic excellence. It is the first benefaction in the field of academic achievement, and possibly the first of its kind in Guru Nanak Institute of Technology and JIS Group.
This award on academic excellence is awarded to the student who secured the highest DGPA score in 2016, a student who is dedicated to upholding the prestige and history of the students who came before and who wish to continue carving a path of distinction for the future. Often seen as visionaries and leaders among their peers, this year’s winner had strive to contribute to the development and ongoing success of Guru Nanak Institute of Technology. Whether it is securing the highest marks or to enrich the learning of others by serving as a true peer or to dedicate oneself to the need of the college or department or to donate ones time through service to the college: the person has one common goal: leaving ones positive and everlasting legacy at Guru Nanak Institute of Technology.
This endowment award aims at recognizing and acknowledging the outstanding achievement secured by our students. This is the inception of an initiative which will run over the years to come and we hope that several Bharti Devi endowment scholars prove their mettle by distinguishing themselves in various walks of life and create a permanent legacy. No matter the size, the benefit of your individual gift is far-reaching and long-lasting.
