Berta Rosenberg

Berta Rosenberg (5 September 1896, Frankenau, Hesse-Nassau - 28 January 2009) was a German-born American supercentenarian who was the oldest living person born in Germany and the 18th oldest living person in the world at the time of her death. She was also known for being the oldest living Jew until her death. She moved to the United States in September 1938, just months before the Nazis launched an attack on German Jews. She worked as a cleaner and then started a business selling housewares.
She died on 28 January 2009. She still remains the fifth oldest German person ever.
