The Bensonians are an acappella group in Fairfield University located in Fairfield, CT. A subsidiary of the Fairfield University Glee Club, the Bensonians are currently directed by Joseph Quinn. History Founded officially in the Fall of 2010, the Bensonians are the evolution of the former Men's Ensemble of the Fairfield University Glee Club. Fairfield University has many music programs to offer, including other acappella groups on the Fairfield campus, such as Sweet Harmony and The Sounds. Traditionally consisting of no more than fifteen undergraduates, the group is chosen at the beginning of each academic year through a rigorous process before launching into a practice-intensive and performance-heavy schedule, concluding each year with a Spring Jam concert. Music Musical repertoire ranges from oldies, to classic folk songs and tales, to timely pop/rock hits. The majority of the repertoire tends to remain in secrecy until first debuted at a concert or gig.
