Benfleet Running Club is an running club based in Benfleet,Essex.
Some enthusiastic runners decided to form a running club and Bodycare Running Club was formed in 1984. Bodycare Running Club split from Bodycare Fitness Centre in November 1987 but kept
the name and still met on Bodycare premises until 1 January 1990 when Benfleet Running Club was born. In 1990 the club was a much smaller one indeed. At the AGM in November 1990 it was reported that there were 46 adult members and 19 junior regular runners and between 12 and 20 new members.
The club now boasts a membership of over 300.
Benfleet Juniors Running Club was founded in 2007 and now has over 50 members.
