Ben Zhou is the co-founder and CEO of a cryptocurrency exchange Bybit headquartered in United Arab Emirates. Education and career Zhou founded Bybit, a cryptocurrency exchange that offers fiat, spot, derivatives and non-fungible tokens (NFTs), web3.0 applications that allows users to transact cryptocurrencies, and became its CEO in 2018. The company has more than six million registered users and operates in 160 countries, offering 24/7 customer support in 16 languages. In 2021 Zhou pledged US$800,000 in Bitcoin over two years in partnership with UNICEF to help empower girls’ education in East Asia and the Pacific. In 2022 Zhou announced that Bybit is shifting its headquarters from Singapore to Dubai after receiving in-principle approval to conduct virtual assets business in the U.A.E. from the authorities.<ref name=":22" />
