Ben Hicks

Ben Hicks is an American born producer, screenwriter, and film director. He is widely known for writing and directing the horror film The Rohtang Pass. He also directed numerous short films including, Rock Creek Station, Los Lonely Hobos and Aggressive Street Walking. Ben, like his friend and fellow filmmaker, Danny Loughmiller, is well known as a prominent figure in the Neo-Mormon Cinema.
Life and career
Ben received his TC in Computer Graphics Design, AA in Liberal Studies and AAS in Business Management (College of Southern Idaho). He next completed his BS in Human Resources (Idaho State University, 2008) and completed his graduate degree in Digital Cinema Production (Fort Hays State University, 2010) where he was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.
Before becoming popular in the film industry, he competed strongly in various film festivals, including the i48 (the Idaho 48 hour) Film Festival and Competition. After completing his first documentary film Rock Creek Station, he was able to get it aired on KFHS in 2010 which is the station of his alma mater, Fort Hays State University.
At the beginning of 2011, Ben set out to create his first feature length film and began writing The Rohtang Pass. While in development, he partnered with fellow filmmaker and friend, Danny Loughmiller. Together the two collaborated making Twin Falls first independent feature length zombie film.
