Ben Cup

Ben Cup is a fast-paced drinking game which combines both Beer Pong and Flip Cup. An average game lasts between 1 to 2 minutes and can be enjoyed by both the inexperienced and experienced drinker.
Creation
Ben Cup was designed in 2009 by Ben Welsh, a college student at Pitzer College and contestant on the hit Fox reality television series Trading Spouses , who wanted to create a drinking game with the same qualities of beer pong but one which did not take as long. He experimented with many different variations on his two favorite drinking games, Beer Pong and Flip Cup until he had the inspiration for Ben Cup.
History
Even after months of practicing Ben Cup and getting drunk by himself, Ben Welsh has yet to win a single game of Ben Cup. In stark contrast, however, Ben's brother, James Phillip Welsh, has repeatedly dominated at Ben Cup. Some reports hold that James has never lost a single game of Ben Cup as he possesses uncanny natural abilities to both chug quickly and make super-accurate shots with the ping-pong ball. James attributes his Ben Cup success to the many years of drinking at Claremont McKenna College, which is a more prestigious school than Pitzer College. Also James is baller. Also notable is the fact that Ben Welsh has absolutely nothing to do with this photo:
Rules
Ben Cup is a drinking game based off of Beer Pong. The game combines both Beer Pong and Flip Cup into a much quicker drinking game. One downfall with Beer Pong is the length, especially when inexperienced players are playing. Ben Cup avoids this problem by only having one cup to shoot at during a round. The game is played on two tables side by side with two people drinking and two ball receivers. The game begins at one end of the table with a shot of alcohol. Once the shot has been chugged the players run to the other side of the table where a cup full of beer is awaiting to be chugged. Once the player finishes the cup of beer he must flip cup it. Once he has successfully flipped the cup he may shoot at a lone cup of beer at the end of the table where the game began. If the player misses the shot their designated ball receiver must toss the ball quickly back to the shooter. The game ends when one player makes the beer pong shot. The loser must drink both cups of beer that were targets for the last shot. So in total, the winner has drunk a shot and a beer, and the loser has drunk a shot and two beers. The game lasts on average 1 to 2 minutes. The game is very quick which makes it more appealing than beer pong yet still requires the players to drink copious amounts of alcohol.
Variation
Ben Cup's appeal lies within its ability to be personalized by the players. There are no restrictions on what alcoholic beverage or mix may be used in the beginning shot. Also the amount of beer used in the flip cup and beer pong cup is a decision left up to the players.
Another appeal is the quickness of the game. One major flaw with Beer Pong is the sometimes excessive time it takes to finish the game. Ben Cup circumvents this problem by limiting the player's beer pong shot to just one cup.
Popularity
The popularity of Ben Cup spread quickly across the Claremont Colleges as in the eastern Californian Bay Area towns of Pleasant Hill and Concord. Reports have even shown the game has spread internationally to places such as England. Coincidentally, Ben Cup has been banned in Cedarburg, Wisconsin and its inventor is prevented by law from setting foot within city premises because both it and he have been determined to be criminally lame.
