Bee Money

Brian Emerson better known by his rap name Bee Money or B-Money, is an American rap singer-song writer and self promoting businessman. He rose to local stardom in 2006 following the release of "B with Money aka Provo Rap," a hit single from his debut album From Blings to Riches.
Emerson has been accredited with several guest appearances in the Provo/ Orem, UT area at places such as Seven Peaks Water Park and Ice Arena, Trafalga, Sammy's Cafe, and the Pennyroyal Cafe. Along with Prince Early, Bee Money is arguably the most successful rap artist to claim the streets of Provo, UT.
Background
Brian Emerson was born in Bellevue, WA. However, there is some ambiguity to his actual place and date of birth. He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints []. Money's early ties to LDS muscial artists reveal his commitment to his faith. His mother joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints after her husband introduced her to it. Emerson attended church every week. His mother now lives in Oregon and his siblings are scattered across the west. He claims to have a "semi-good" relationship with them.
Personal Life and Music Career
Shortly after graduating high school in WA, Emerson moved to Provo, UT where he met local BYU students Micah Christensen, Jeremiah Christenot, Cyrus Larson, and Cameron Sawyer. Known to rap about typical life in Provo, UT, Emerson promotes himself through door to door sales of CD albums, DVD versions of his own music videos, and his own personal clothing line. Emerson's t-shirt designs are notorious for containing dollar signs, paper money images, DMC Delorian vehicles, and his mantra "Don't Hate."
Emerson has been known to refer to close friends as Bee Honies or Bee Homies, depending on gender. Because of their close proximities, Emerson has emerged as a local icon around the college campuses of Brigham Young University and Utah Valley University.
As of September 2009, Bee Money has three released albums: "From Blings to Riches," "G-Riding it down the streets," and "Cause its gold in da Hizz-House". The first album was considered Money's greatest success, featuring hit songs "B with money aka Provo Rap" (over 144,000 views on Youtube), "Rags 2 Riches " (over 12,000 views on YouTube), and "Absofetchinlutely ". YouTube has been one of Bee Money's greatest tools as he has several interviews and freestyles posted up online.
Bee Money is also know for trying to change the way "clean rap" is received. A result of his LDS faith, Emerson believes that music should be free of profanity and drug and sexual references and focuses on creating rap music that promotes these values.
Bee Money has been known to endorse several local businesses such as Ology, a math education program, and The Pennyroyal Cafe.
