Beat Peruasion Beat Persuasion, Electro Nu Wave Disco Beat Persuasion is the the name of the music project/band by The Geminiac, otherwise known as producer and singer/songwriter Deron Reynolds, and producer/remixer Zak B, otherwise known as Zak Baney. The band records, operates and plays in the Osaka area of Japan. Started in late 2008 after online dueling mathces over 80's Nu Wave music prowness, they decided they should try making "new" Nu Wave, and created a whole new genre of music in the process, "Electro Nu Wave Disco." The name and origin of the band name Beat Perusasion is still shrouded in secrecy, but it was decided upon before the first single "Your Touch" was released. Zak Baney has done remixes for the likes of Man Parrish, Newcleus, Book of Love and Afrika Bambaata while creating original tracks for his label Dubtone Studios. Zak is famous for starting a new styles of Djing in the late 80's known as "acid breaks."Acid breaks Before starting his own music label, Dubtone Studios, he signed with the Chigaco rhythm style label FFRR and Frankie Bones' label, Nu Futra. Deron Reynolds has his solo project, The Geminiac, and other music projects for his label Blue Orb Productions. He has worked with J-pop stars such as Mai Kuraki, Rina Aiuchi and Aika Ohno while a musical director, songwriter and arranger for Giza Music in Osaka, Japan.
