Bayode Treasures Olawunmi is a Nigerian Mechanical Engineer, a brand specialist and a Guinness world record holder in the Longest Marathon Reading category. Early life He was born on 21 September 1978 at Ikorodu in Lagos State, Nigeria. He officially set the new record at exactly 3:30 on Saturday 3 March 2018, having started the reading at 1:30 PM on Monday 26 February. He read mostly Nigerian literature by authors Toni Kan , Leye Adele, Sarah Ladipo Manyika and others. between 16-24 September 2008. He is the Chief Executive Officer of I Read Afrika Foundation and organiser of the annual Marathon Read Aloud contest. The year 2021 contest, with the theme “Read to Build” is scheduled to hold from 1-20 March at the Herbert Macaulay Library in Lagos, Nigeria. Personal life He is married to Tosin Olawunmi, financial services expert, and they have three children. They got married on 1 March 2008. |
