Bat rock

Bat rock is a genre of rock music, that mainly refers to songs and compositions featured in Batman films and television series. Prominent examples of the bat rock style include "The End Is the Beginning Is the End" by the alternative goth band The Smashing Pumpkins, and "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me" by sloganeering stadium band U2.
Although the genre's sound is typical of rock, or even more generally, any other kind of music, Bat rock is typified by lyrics that are relevant to Batman. For example, Prince's (aka, "The Artist Formerly Known as 12px") "Batdance"—which features on pioneering bat rock album Batman, is a fairly standard funk-pop song. However, the song features lyrics such as ""Oh - that's nice"/"Hi, Bruce Wayne"" making it a funk-pop bat rock song.
