Bashir Abu-Manneh

Bashir Abu-Manneh (born 6 September 1972) was formerly a Visiting Assistant Professor of Middle East Studies at Brown University, and formerly Assistant Professor of literature at Barnard College. He describes himself as "a Palestinian from Israel."
He holds a B.A., University of Haifa, Israel; M.A., University of Warwick, U.K.; D.Phil., University of Oxford, U.K.
He is a cited expert on literature. Columbia's student magazine the Blue and White described him as a "campus favorite" whose "openness and dynamism attracted students of disparate viewpoints".
He is a contributor to Z Communications, The Nation the Monthly Review and , where he endorsed the Boycott Divestment and Sanctions campaign against Israel.
