Barry Hinckley

Benjamin Barrett Hinckley (born April 18, 1966), an American businessman and aspiring politician, is a declared Republican candidate for U.S. Senate from Rhode Island.
Business career
Hinckley moved to Rhode Island and worked as a USCG licensed boat captain. In 1991, he began working at his family's yacht building business, Hinckley Yachts, in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. In 1995, he left the family firm and joined the Digital Charting Division of Better Boating Association. In 1998 Hinckley joined an internet technology company, BBN Planet.
Bullhorn software
Hinckley founded Bullhorn Software which was named Boston Business Journals, "10 Fastest Growing Private Companies" in New England five years running, employing 150 people and earning over $25 million in revenue. He was also a finalist for Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the year in 2009. Hinckley identifies himself as a "Liberty Republican," though not a member of the Tea Party movement.
