BarbieGirls.com is an interactive website, created by toy company, Mattel. Currently in beta, the website aims to promote the company's Barbie line, by blending music and fashion with interactivity.

Hangouts

A number of different areas can be visited on the BarbieGirls.com map. These areas are called Hangouts. If a Hangout is full, no more players can enter it. Players can make new friends, chat, and buy new items in Hangouts.

B Chic Boutique

The B Chic Boutique is a Hangout in which players can purchase clothing and various outfits. Colors and patterns can be added to the items purchased.

B Stylin' Shop

A similar Hangout to the B Chic Boutique.But it cost more B Bucks.

Furni Fever

Buy fabulous furnitures for decorating your room. For music purchases, a BarbieGirl is needed. Also change the color of the furniture and pick a pattern and add it to the bag. You can also chat with friends.

B Charmed Accessories

Accessories can be purchased here for your character online. Colors and patterns can be added to accessories purchased. The accessories also include hair styles.

B Posh Pets

Here the player will need Barbie Girl to adopt a pet and pet accessories. But the player can have only one pet at a time. If one needs any other pet, they can exchange the old ones and add it to the carrier. You can also choose the pets color and it's accessories. Their are a larger selection of pets if you have the accessories.

B Cafè

This is another area where a player can chat with friends.

B Park

Here's another hangout where the player can chat and have fun!

B Cinemas

Trailers of Barbie movies can be seen here. 20 B-Bucks(coins on website)can be given for watching the clips.

Rooms

A room can be changed by a player to suit their tastes. The color of the wall can be altered, and carpet or wood floors can be added. Furniture can be bought as well and added to a players room. A player's room can be entered by anyone unless the player locks it to only allow friends or no one to enter the room. A maximum of five players can occupy a single room at one time.

Closet
Items that a player has bought will show up in their closet, as well as gifts or special items they've received.

Friends
Friends

Friends can be added to a player's list. Friends can also be reported or blocked from sending mail or gifts if they abuse mail privileges.

Also they can't be removed so be careful on who you want to be your friend!!!!!!

Best friends
A player can make a friend on their list a best friend, whom they can engage in secret B chats with. A report and block function is also available here as well. This function is only available to players who have a BarbieGirl.

B chat

Players can chat with one another through B chat. Players who engage in obscene behavior or attempting to send or request personal information in a B chat can be blocked by BarbieGirls.com.

Secret B Chat

Best friends can engage in Secret B chats by inviting one another to a player's room. A maximum of five players at a time can be engaged in a Secret B chat. This feature is only available when any player involved connects the BarbieGirl to the computer.

Coversation in the Secret B chat is limited to using words on a whitelist compiled by Mattel.

B Bucks

B Bucks can be earned by watching videos in the B Cinemas,by entering secret codes,and playing games. Then you can spend them on accessories, clothes, and furniture.

B Mail

Messages can be sent between players and decorated to suit the players tastes. Ringtones will notify players they have mail.

Special codes

Codes can be found when buying a select Barbie Girls product or through promo offers or by taking a test from your b-mail. These codes can give players new fashions, pets, or reward them with B bucks.
