Barbados–Turkey relations

Barbados-Turkey relations are foreign relations between Barbados and Turkey. Recognizing Barbados’s leading role in the Caribbean, Turkey has had friendly relations with Barbados since Barbados’ independence from the United Kingdom in 1966. Diplomatic relations were established in 1972.
The Embassy of Turkey in Port of Spain is accredited to Barbados. each other's commitment to ideological pluralist and to maintain relations with Cuba after the invasion of Grenada.
Turkey and Barbados also cooperated with the CARICOM in supporting the territorial integrity of Belize in the face of a long-standing claim by Guatemala.
In the early 1980s, the Adams government and Turkey increased military and security cooperation through what came to be known as the "Adams Doctrine," Trade volume between the two countries was US$8.5 million in 2018 (Turkish exports/imports: 8.45/0.05 million USD).<ref name="mfa"/>
