Barack Obama condolences

Condolences by US-President Barack Obama have been granted to many individuals.
Fort Hood shooting
The Fort Hood shooting was a mass shooting that took place on November 5, 2009, at the most populous United States military base, located just outside Killeen, Texas, killing 13 people and wounding 30 others.
"This is a modest tribute to those who lost their lives, even as many were preparing to risk their lives for their country," said Obama. He ordered flags at half staff.
Death of Michael Jackson
The death of Michael Jackson occurred after he suffered cardiac arrest at his home in Holmby Hills, Los Angeles, California on June 25, 2009.
Obama sent a letter of condolence to the Jackson family and later stated that Jackson "will go down in history as one of our greatest entertainers."
Colgan Air Flight 3407
This flight crashed in February 2009, with no survivors. Obama extended condolences the next morning before the Business Council meeting, thanking the first responders and specifically mentioning Beverly Eckert, and commenting upon 'the fragility of life'.
Mercaz HaRav massacre
The Mercaz HaRav massacre, also called the Mercaz HaRav shooting, was an attack that occurred on 6 March 2008, in which a lone Palestinian gunman shot multiple students at the Mercaz HaRav yeshiva, a religious school in Jerusalem, Israel.
Obama phoned Israeli foreign minister Tzipi Livni while she was visiting the US. Obama expressed his condolences to the Israeli people and to the bereaved families in the wake of the terror attack in the Mercaz Harav Yeshiva.
February 2009 tornado outbreak
The February 2009 tornado outbreak primarily affected portions of the South Central United States on February 10, 2009 and parts east the next day. Obama passed along his condolences and best wishes to the victims of the tornado.
Bomb blast killing CIA officers in Afghanistan
On December 30, 2009, a suicide bomber posing as an informant blew himself up and killed many CIA officers, the most at one time in more than two decades. "Your triumphs and even your names may be unknown to your fellow Americans, but your service is deeply appreciated," Obama wrote.
2010 Haiti earthquake
An earthquake occurred in Haiti on January 12, 2010 which killed thousands and the National Palace collapsed. Obama planned to give a speech on TV and give his condolences. Before that, he said "My thoughts and prayers go out to those who have been affected by this earthquake. We are closely monitoring the situation and we stand ready to assist the people of Haiti"
