Band football is a leisure activity participated by members of the Peters Township Mighty Indians Marching Band, started at a time unknown. It is similar to regular football, but is done without pads or tackling before or after a marching band practice. Games are held during the regular football season, with two special games. The first is the Band Football Reunion Game, which pits former players now in college against the newest crop of band football players. The second special game is against the Cross Country Team, held over Thanksgiving weekend, and is traditionally the end to a wonderful season. Band football is currently being run by a junior.
