Balcora is the centre of the galaxy in which the Homeworld computer game series takes place. This is also the last known resting place of Sajuuk, The Great Maker Whose Hand Shapes What Is. Balcora, and Sajuuk for that matter, is in the exact centre of a massive gravity well created by three super-massive black holes. Hyperspace travel to and from Balcora was not an option, unless special Progenitor technology, like the Balcora Gate was used.
Balcora served as the final battleground between Karan Sjet, the leader of the Hiigarans, and Makaan, the Vaygr warlord, in their contest to claim Sajuuk and the untold power that rested within it.
