BADHAN Rajshahi College Unit

Badhan is a voluntary blood donors' organization. It is the pioneer fresh blood provider in Bangladesh. This non-political organization is currently running at 31 educational institutions including 10 public universities and 21 other university colleges. Since its establishment in 1997, it has already supplied more than 2.42 lakh bags of blood and tested blood group of about 7.43 lakh people free of cost (by December 2009). Till now Badhan and its members are continuing the great service to humanity. The journey of Badhan has been continuing since 1997. Through a Free Blood Group Testing Program on 24 October 1997 in the Shahidullah Hall of Dhaka University, Badhan expressed itself. Before that, dream of an organization from the thoughts of doing something for the people requiring blood (specially who gathered regularly in the Hall Gate) was running in the mind of one student of the hall Md. Shahidul Islam Ripon. Later he pioneered some other students along with him toward the same thought. And the outcome was that 24 October’s program and Badhan! Rajshahi College Unit started 2 February 2006 unofficially and formed a convener committee at 25 February 2006. Convener Md. Kamrul Islam and Member Secretary S.M. Amanullah Trino. For his great work or great contribution for making BADHAN Rajshahi College Unit, S.M. Amanullah Trino is genarly called the founder of this unit
