Backup MyPC

BackUp MyPC (sometimes shown as BackupMyPC) was a Windows PC Backup Software package marketed by StompSoft (sometimes shown as StompInc).
Due to changes in both product and company names, this article may help customers still holding a version of BackUp MyPC, or who formerly used Backup Exec Desktop locate the successor product PC BackUp and the current company that distributes PC BackUp.
History
Backup MyPC is believed by the author of this article to have originated as the desktop version of Backup Exec.
BackUp MyPC seems to have been replaced by PC BackUp (verification needed; exact dates uncertain), which in turn was acquired by Migo Software.
PC BackUp Pro is a current product (as of 12/31/2008).
Milestones
August, 2000: Veritas Backup Exec still in existence
October, 2001: BackUp MyPC was available for sale (version unknown)
November 29, 2005: StompSoft sent email announcing that BackUp MyPC would be replaced by PC BackUp.
March 12, 2007: StompSoft sent email announcing that a free upgrade to BackUp MyPC Version 6.0 was available to existing customers.
