Babangida Ruma (youth activist)

Babangida Kabir Ruma (born 23 February 1990) is a Nigerian youth advocate. He is the founder and CEO of Opportunities Hub, a job website that focuses on ending employment discrimination in Nigeria and providing employment opportunities to unemployed youth in Nigeria.
Early life and education
Ruma was born in Batsari in Katsina State. He obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Information and Communication Technology at the Limkokwing University of Creative Technology.
Career
In 2014, Ruma established the Society for the Mentally Handicapped in Malaysia to combat mental disability in children.
He is among the largest social media influencers in Nigeria. In 2015, he was appointed as peace ambassador of the Commonwealth Youth Council.
In October 2010, Ruma founded the Arewa Youth Awareness Initiative Forum, AYAIF. He still serves as the president.
Awards and recognitions
Ruma has been nominated for the African Youth of the Year (Male) Award.
