Bishop (or B1shop) is a Bengali-American up and coming rapper formerly of Bengali rap group Stoic Bliss. Best known for songs such as Abar Jigay and Preem Mittur Por. Biography ---- Born in Dhaka, Bangladesh on December 8, 1983, he moved with his mother to Sweden before going overseas and residing in Orange County, CA in 1992. After spending time living in Dallas, TX,he and his family moved to Astoria, NY in 1996. They ended their somewhat nomadic lifestyle after moving to Flushing, NY, where Bishop spent the rest of his teenage years. He attended I.S. 141 and Bryant High School both of which are in Astoria. He, began his love for music through friendships with people who were Hip-Hop fanatics. He took a particular liking to Tupac Shakur's music and drew much of his inspiration from him. He began with writing raps with friends for fun and mock battles. |
