Aylestone Park F.C. are a football club based in Aylestone, a suburb of Leicester, Leicestershire, England. They joined the Leicestershire Senior League Division One in 1989. In 1995, they were promoted to the Leicestershire Senior League Premier Division where they remain to this day. Leicester City and England Legend Gary Lineker began his career at the club and he is commemorated by the naming of the clubhouse after him, called the "Lineker Lounge". Other professional footballers who began their careers at the club include West Bromwich Albion Defender Joe Mattock and Inverness Caledonian Thistle Midfielder Lee Cox. |
