Autumns Eyes

Autumns Eyes is a solo heavy metal band from Connecticut, USA. The band is fronted by Dan Mitchell who performs all the responsibilities from writing and recording, to production and web design. Currently the band has released nine studio albums under independent release without backing of a major label.
Through the past ten years Autumns Eyes has gained recognition in the heavy metal world from numerous critics in both the mainstream and underground realms. MTV2’s “Headbangers Ball” hailed the bands 2008 video contribution “ Feast of the Dead” for its artistic nod towards low budget horror films which also inspire the bands music.
Influences range from the great film composer Danny Elfman, to legendary goth rockers Type O Negative. While each Autumns Eyes release maintains a sound and characteristic of its own, much attention was spawned from the 2008 EP release “ Surrender the Fire”. Critics praised the album for its ominous tone and quality comparable to major label releases.
Dan continues to maintain all duties behind Autumns Eyes including the release of a website devoted towards merchandise promoted by a group of female models called “ Autumns Eves”. The bands latest endeavor is finishing work on the tenth studio release due out October 2010 titled “Please Deceive Me”.
