Australian Retriever

The Australian Retriever is a cross between the Australian Shepherd and the Golden Retriever. The Australian Retriever is a very broad breed, the coat ranges all over the colour spectrum. The Australian shepherd part of the breed is barely noticeable at times, and the golden coat masks most of the dogs true identity. An Australian Retriever is of medium stature, and weighs approximately the same as the Golden Retriever. The average weight is 45 pounds.
This breed is well mannered, tame, and sheds throughout all four seasons. The most common colour is light brown, called honey. They are great family dogs and companions.
