Australia Youth Conference

The Australia Youth Conference is a training conference organised and run by members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, which targets Adventist youth in Australia. It's aim is to revive and inspire young people for mission work, provide inspired training for young people in soul-winning work and provide network opportunities for young people from soul-winning ministries.
History The inaugural meeting was held on 23-26 February 2006, with a subsequent meeting on 15-18 February 2007; both meetings were held in Melbourne, Australia. The next conference, which is scheduled for 2008, will be held in Sydney, from 14-17 February 2008.
Themes The themes for the youth conference follow a sequence:

Speakers The keynote speakers in 2006 were Pr David Asscherick and Pr Geoff Youlden, both prominent Seventh-day Adventist evangelists. Other trainers who attended the event were Pr Louis Torres, Pr Bruce Price, Pr Wolfgang Stefani, Johnny Wong and Edmund Yeoh. The conference was also attended by Pr Mark Finley, prominent TV presenter and evangelist, and a current vice president of the General Conference. Over a 100 delegates from all over Australia attended this event.
The keynote speakers in 2007 were Peter Gregory and Randy Skeete. Other trainers who attended the event were Pr Louis Torres, Pr Bruce Price, Pr Greg Evans, Dr Allan Lindsay, Pr Mark Finley, Dan Vis and Johnny Wong. Over 350 delegates from over 80 Adventist churches from around Australia attended this event. The conference was highlighted by an afternoon of public evangelism on the streets of Melbourne and surrounding suburbs, in preparation for a major public evangelistic campaign titled Discoveries 2007, hosted by Pr Mark Finley.
The keynote speakers for 2008 have yet to be confirmed.
