Austinpowerism

Definition

Austinpowerism is a television/movie technique where the private parts of a man or woman are hidden by objects displayed in the foreground. It is usually used in a humorous fashion.

It was used extensively in one scene in an Austin Powers movie, hence the term Austinpowerism. The term was coined by Roger Ebert.
