Austin Levi

Austin Levi (born February 16, 1992) is an American professional ice hockey defenceman. He is currently playing with the Stockton Thunder of the ECHL as a prospect for the Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League (NHL). Levi was selected by the Hurricanes in the 3rd round (85th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
Playing career
Levi was drafted 110th overall by the Plymouth Whalers in the 2008 Ontario Hockey League (OHL) Priority Selection. He played 268 regular-season games and 52 playoff games with the Whalers.
On March 16, 2012, the Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League (NHL) signed Levi to a three-year, entry-level contract, but he was returned to play with the Plymouth Whalers for the duration of the 2012-13 OHL season. Levi made his professional debut the following year when he was assigned to start the 2013-14 season in the ECHL with the Florida Everblades. He went on to play 53 games with the Everblades, and was also called up to play 10 games in the American Hockey League with the Charlotte Checkers during his rookie campaign.
