Audra Hardt

Audra Hardt is a singer/songwriter from Los Angeles, where she was born and raised. She developed an avid interest in singing at an early age and started the band Cat Trap and was the lead singer. After a few years, she changed the band name to Audra Hardt in 2005 and has since released two albums: No Disguise and Superficial Superstar.

Inventor and author Ray Kurzweil met Audra Hardt during one of her performances and decided to become a patron of her talent. Ray produced No Disguise in 2005 and continues to support her career. Her music and voice is often compared to Alanis Morissette, Norah Jones, Pat Benatar, Janis Joplin, and The Cranberries.

Audra’s Music has appeared in the films Circuit, () which she also had a cameo role, and Beautiful Loser. Two of her songs, "VICTORY" and "TRADE OFF", will be featured in Ray Kurzweil’s film The Singularity is Near, slated for a 2009 release. It's based upon Ray’s book of the same name (The Singularity Is Near).

Audra was named by the Music Connection Magazine in December 2008 to head up their list of Best National Unsigned Artists for 2008. Her new album AUDRA HARDT ALIVE is slated for release early in 2009.
